Something happened, and part of you never recovered
Maybe it was one moment that changed everything. Maybe it was years of experiences that slowly shaped how you see yourself and the world. Maybe you can’t even name it clearly – you just know that something is different. That you react in ways you don’t understand. That you’re tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.
You’ve probably tried to get on with things. Maybe you’ve talked about it during talking therapy, taken medication, told yourself you should be over it by now. And yet you are here.
What working with trauma actually looks like here
I don’t ask you to relive everything during the consultation or even in the first session. I don’t need you to have the right words for what happened, or a clear timeline, or a tidy explanation.
What I do need is for you to be willing to work.
Because this isn’t something I do to you. It’s something we do together. I’ll bring 25 years of clinical experience, a deep understanding of how trauma holds itself in the body and in the nervous system, and a structured approach that works with every layer of what you’re carrying – sleep issues, anxiety, flashbacks, reactivity, anger, the way you move through your days.
You bring your readiness to meet me halfway.
Between sessions, I’ll give you practical tools to use. Things that help regulate your nervous system in real life, not just in the therapy room. Because lasting change happens in the ordinary moments, not just the hour you spend with me.
What clients notice
One client came to me reacting to the slightest thing like a volcano. He couldn’t sleep. He couldn’t get on with his life. Now he does.
That’s not magic. That’s what happens when trauma finally gets the right kind of attention.
This is for you if:
- You’ve tried talking about it and you’ve hit a plateau.
- You’re exhausted by your own reactions and don’t know how to stop them.
- You suspect what happened years ago is still running the show today.
- You’re ready to do more than just manage – you actually want to shift it.
This work is not for you if:
- You’re looking for someone to fix you without your full participation. I work with people who are ready to be active in their own recovery. If that’s you, we’ll do good work together.
Why hypnosis works for trauma
Trauma doesn’t live in the memory. It lives in the body – in the nervous system patterns that formed around an overwhelming experience and never fully resolved.
This is why talking about trauma, understanding it, even forgiving it, doesn’t always move it. The intellectual processing happens at the conscious level. The pattern that produces the flashback, the freeze, the hyper vigilance, the shame – that lives deeper. Below the narrative. Below the reach of conscious effort.
Hypnosis works at that deeper level. In a safe, carefully held state of focused relaxation, the nervous system becomes receptive to change in a way it can’t access through conversation alone. The pattern that formed around the original experience, can be approached gently, without re-traumatisation, and new responses introduced at the level where the old ones were stored.
This is precise, boundaried, neurologically grounded work. It’s not about reliving what happened. It’s about updating what your nervous system learned from it.
Ready to talk about it?
You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out. A conversation is enough to start.
Book a consultation – I’ll be happy to hear from you.
